Features to know about

Confident Driving in Snow and Ice: Diamond Pattern Keeps You Moving

When roads get slick or snow piles up, these Titan Chain diamond-pattern tire chains give steady traction and control. The diamond layout keeps more links in contact with the road so you get smoother handling and consistent grip in both snow and icy patches. The 5.5 mm (0.216") square links bite firmly into the surface, so you can climb steep driveways or make it through deep snow without slipping or spinning.

No More Struggling With Loose Chains: Built-In Tensioners Stay Tight

Getting chains snug around your tires can be a hassle, but these come with assisted tensioning built right in. Just connect the color-coded hooks and clips, tug the tensioners, and the chains pull themselves tight—no rubber adjusters to chase or lose. Once set, they stay centered and won’t flop around, even after driving forward a few lengths to settle the fit.

Step 1 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing the chains laid flat on the ground to untangle before mounting on the tire.

Step 2 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing user spreading the chains around the back of the vehicle tire.

Step 3 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing rear cable ends being connected behind the tire.

Step 4 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing green hook connecting to yellow side chains at the top of the tire.

Step 5 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing silver tensioning chain fed through red bracket and clips to tighten around tire.

Step 6 of Titan Chain tire chain installation showing hook attached to side chain and tension being checked after installation.

Tough Enough for Season-After-Season Winter Use: Manganese Nickel Alloy Links

These chains are made from manganese nickel alloy steel that stands up to wear and corrosion. The thicker links last longer than most low-profile chains yet remain compact enough to store easily. The alloy’s resistance to rust means you can count on them through repeated wet, salty conditions without the links pitting or seizing up.

Comfortable Ride on Icy Roads: Diamond Layout Smooths Out the Drive

Traditional ladder chains can make your ride rough, but the diamond pattern spreads out the contact for a smoother feel on pavement. That design also helps with steering feedback and braking, so you stay in control when traction suddenly changes from packed snow to icy patches.

Ready When You Need Them: Quick to Mount and Easy to Carry

Color coding shows exactly where each connection goes, making it easy to drape the chains over the tire and lock them in place without driving onto them. They come as a pair for two tires and include a reusable storage bag that keeps them organized between storms or trips into the mountains.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

I run these on my chevy express 2WD work van on the snowy days in the mountains of Colo.. I will put these on and take them off up to 3 times a day to get up steep driveways for service calls. They really make a difference and are very easy to install once you get the hang of it.

Fantastic product; very helpful staff; fastest shipping on record. I placed the order on Wednesday, and found the package waiting for me on my porch Thursday evening. The folks at etrailer.com are beyond awesome! I highly recommend them!

Unfortunately or luckily I havent had to use the chains. I do feel safe and comfortable that I have them with me.

Chains are fine, but the loop for the self tightening feature is too small to allow the rubber to pass, rendering it unusable.

It is unusual that the rubber piece would be too big. Would it be possible to confirm your tire size and send a picture of how the chains fit on your tire?

Selected this design to be self installed. Upon inspection and first road test continues to thrill, another stellar etrailer.com purchase. Super fast install time minimal road side exposure. Super fine quality materials and assembly. Sorry old school products, money better applied to newer technology. My ride 2005 Chevy 2500HD.

by:

Incredibly fast service and follow through. Very customer oriented-(thanks George J.). I haven't used the chains yet, but will be ready when the snow falls. They look very well built and and come in it's own strong and durable case. Whether it's the nice note on the box to great instructions on the case, etrailer definitely provides great customer service!!

by:

Did a trial install today in 3" snow with packed snow and ice on road. Chains did great. we'll see about deep snow when it happens. Definitely do a trial run to know what links you need and how it tightens. After initial install I drive 1 car length and adjusted yellow chain and rubber bungee. Then drove 75' and hooked bungee on farther. Drove 1 more for about 100' and did what would be my final adjustment on yellow chain and bungee. Drove at 30mph for a bit and they stayed tight. Oh and if you have a cell phone in your pocket leave it in the vehicle so u don't lose it in the snow like I almost did.

by:

Great advice on the correct chain for my needs- fair price and quick shipping!

by:

I have not used these yet, purchased in case any of the half dozen annual snowstorms we get here are too much for just 4 wheel drive, and for the occasional trip up into the Colorado mountains. 2015 Nissan Frontier, tires are 265 70R16. Preliminary inspection when they arrived:
they appear to be well-made, medium-duty, and the included carrying bag seems like it should hold up well if not abused.
The color coding used for installation is just like the website video, and seems to be well thought out, one of the factors in the decision
to purchase these. I previously purchased a Tekonsha trailer brake controller from E-Trailer, and both times they shipped fast, stock
quality products, and seem to have excellent customer support if needed.

by:

Fast delivery. Nice carrying case. Easy to install. Was looking for a tire chain that I could install with out moving vehicle. These are it. Got the idea to buy chains when seeing a semi with trailer stuck, driver put on chains and drove out. I have a 2wd pickup with posi and studded snow tires, it will go about anywhere, but with these chains I am not afraid of getting stuck.

by:

I have ordered many products from etrailer over the years. Customer service and technical assistance are always excellent, products are delivered promptly and as promised, and prices are fair. This time I ordered a set of tire chains for a Ram 3500 dually. Being from Texas I have zero experience with snow chains, but etrailer personnel made the selection and purchasing process easy. Montana here I come.

by:

Nice chains. Easy to install. Not 1 min, but easier than ladder style. No need to lay down on ground behind/next to tire, or roll back/forth. I had a little issue w chain "buncing" in front/behind tire fottprint. I will plan on install per instructions THEN roll 1/4 turn to finish tensioning/centering. Tensioning scheme seem a bit marginal. I bought a spider bungee to do the tensioning more securely. Would be a nice touch if Titan would waterproof/laminate the included plain paper intruction page. Pretty nice carry case. I have not driven on these yet, so we'll see. These are a bit lighter & easier to install than my '80s vintage ladder style chains. That's what I was wanting & seems what I got. I'm happy, as long as they stay on in use.

by:

Purchased these for our service van here in NH. Been getting stuck in customer's driveways with snow & ice and had enough of it. Used them for first time yesterday to get out of my own driveway as it a slight incline & snowy so I had no traction. Got these on is about 10 minutes as it was first time. Back right out of driveway with no problem, removed in 5 minutes once back into dry pavement and I was on my way. Great product and definitely worth the purchase. Don't need them often but sure are a life saver when you do. Thank you etrailer!

Best investment Ive ever made. Only used a few times but are easy to get on and off and work great. Need to purchase another pair for my personal truck. Very pleased with these chains.

by:

I bought a pair of the Titan tire chains last winter. I only really used them a few times, but when I needed them, it was a night and day difference in traction! Very pleased with this purchase.

by:

Came with repair links, really fast set up. Use them on a two wheel drive Ford 250 van. Went places that 4wd we're not able to go in icey work site conditions

by:

Very easy to order online, very responsive staff by phone. Order arrived as ordered in a short time. Very pleased with this company.

by:

Update after Installing chains on tires, easy to install, only wish rubber strap would be few inches longer to get connected at more of a straight acrossed pull for tension. LOL,Glad I bought them and feel better prepared for winter weather.

Hi Robert! We do have another option that will fit those 31 x 10.50 x 15 tires, but the Titan Chain Tire Chains # TC2533 will not, unfortunately. With that said, you are going to want the Titan Chain Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair # TC2524. Just to make sure, I double checked with Titan Chains and they confirmed the fitment of these. Out of curiosity, what vehicle are these tires on? This isn't a tire size I see very often.

Hi Ken, For your F-150's 275/55R20 tire size I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TC2327. This has the diamond pattern you wanted, is a drape over style, and has an assisted tensioning for a much easier installation. These are good for on road use only and designed for deep snow. Both the Ladder Pattern # TC2228SCAM and Diamond Pattern # TC2524 Titan Chain snow chains are good options for a 265/70-16 size tire, but when I looked up the owner's manual for your 2020 Toyota Tacoma it stated that you need to use low clearance chains so I recommend the Titan Chain # TC2324 instead. • Should Dually Truck Have Dually Chains or Just on Outside Tire
The more chains you run on your dually Ram 3500 the more traction you'll have, but a lot of people get by just fine with a set on the outside tires of a dually setup. If you need maximum traction I would recommend going with a dually style rear chain that covers both tires and a set for your front axle as well. If you are wanting something for "just in case" an outside set would work fine. If you let me know what tire size you have I can recommend a set of chains.

  • Comparing Titan Tire Chains TC2524 and TC2323
The main difference between Titan tire chains # TC2524 and # TC2323 is that the chain set # TC2323 is rated as an S Class chain, meaning that it requires less clearance to fit and operate safely inside the wheel wells on a passenger vehicle. Chains # TC2323 use links that are only 3.7mm thick, as compared to the chains # TC2524 which use links that are 5.5mm thick. This means that the smaller link chains # TC2323 will work on larger tire sizes. The compatible tire sizes for each set of...
